Kära Keel Moody, DMDMy love for dentistry "comes from a basic desire to help people in a way they can't help themselves - improving the function and appearance of their teeth. I enjoy getting the opportunity to change some people's mindset about going to the dentist. For those who dread going, I like to help them develop a new and positive attitude about dentistry.

We have a great balance in our practice - it's a fun, friendly, yet professional environment that puts our patients instantly at ease and makes it enjoyable for us to come to work."

If I could speak directly to a patient that is afraid of coming to the dentist, I would tell them... "So many advances have been made in dentistry - from the delivery of anesthetic to our equipment and materials - dental procedures have become much more comfortable and are done in a shorter amount of time. We are also sensitive to patients' fears and can tailor appointments to meet your needs, whether it is with "laughing gas" or headphones to block out the noise.

It is wonderful to help patients that have been self-conscious about their smile because of missing or discolored teeth - Once we complete their work, and they look in the mirror, the transformation of their face and their new smile is a very powerful and touching experience for all of us."

Dr. Moody completed her undergraduate studies at Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia, where she now serves on the Board of Directors. In 1998, she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia, and continued on to complete the General Practice Residency (GPR) program to expand her clinical skills. Dr. Moody stays current with the latest techniques in dentistry and attends advanced training and continuing education classes throughout the year. She is an active member of the local community, and she and her husband Chad enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
