Jennifer Sherwood Bragg, DMD
Meet Dr. Bragg
Dr. Bragg was born in Louisville, Mississippi and raised in Columbus, Mississippi. Growing up, much of her time was spent with water-competitive swimming. Her interest began in the dental/orthodontic field as a preteen in braces, initially because there was the option to play Atari and have a coke in the patient break room. Although she gave up cokes and Atari, her interest stayed with her through the years and she never changed paths through high school and college.
Her dad’s job with IBM brought them to Atlanta in 1984, and she attended Norcross High School. She went on to Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 1993. Her other favorite classes were Art classes and the ROTC elective classes, including rappelling and marksmanship. Dr. Bragg received her dental degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997 in Augusta, Georgia. She was in Snellville initially, and has had her practice in Cumming since 1998.
Here at Bragg Dental, our mission is to do everything we can to alleviate our patients’ fears and keep them comfortable. Each patient is special to us, like a member of our family — our greatest reward is when people thank us for taking care of them. Bragg Dental supports the local community, including the organizations
of Family Haven, Whispering Hope, and CASA.
Dr. Bragg is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, the Northwestern District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, The Hinman Dental Society and the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Bragg continually pursues advanced training in dental technology and techniques through her membership and participation in the nation’s best continuing education programs and dental societies.
On a personal note, Jennifer enjoys family time with her husband, Steve, and their two energetic boys, as well as working out and yoga, attending Atlanta events and concerts, photography, Georgia football, and the beach at St. Simons. She is an active member of Gwinnett Church, where she met and married Steve.
What I love about dentistry: “Helping people, whether it is alleviating their pain, creating the smile they always wanted, or hearing a child say they love to come see the dentist. Most recently, we had a patient say we cured them of being scared to go to the dentist!”
What I enjoy about this practice: “The relationships we have with our patients— getting to know them and their families and friends, and taking care of their dental health needs. Also, the relationships among our team — we have a lot of fun with each other and our patients and at the same time strive to create an excellent patient experience. We all share a common goal of continuous learning and improvement, and are dedicated to helping the community by assisting local charities with their needs and being involved in dental health education. We are passionate about educating patients on the importance of healthy habits, believing that healthy habits and healthy life go together.”
