Precision & Excellence Using the Latest Technology

Our commitment to offering our patients the best of the best when it comes to service and dental results is one that we take action on. That’s why you’ll find that our office is furnished with the latest dental technology here in Cumming, including a digital impression system, a single tooth anesthetic delivery system, and our intraoral cameras. All of these devices will help streamline your visit as well as provide our dentists with accurate diagnoses and in-depth treatment planning.

Digital Dental Impressions

In the past, dentists would use a brick of putty to capture impressions of the teeth and oral structure, helping in the creation of restorations and nightguards. Today, we take a fully digital approach, eliminating the need for putty and instead using a special camera that measures every detail of your oral topography. It’s faster, more accurate, and much more comfortable!

The Wand™

The Wand is essentially a computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery system. The flow rate of the local anesthetic is precisely controlled by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore comfortable. Most people who have had a bad experience with injections think that needles sting because the skin is pierced, but this is usually not so! Most often, the sting was caused because the anesthetic was fired in too quickly. Obviously, it is possible for the dentist to control the speed with a standard syringe, but the idea of the Wand is to take out the “human error.”

This can be very reassuring for people with previous bad experiences. The Wand offers the advantage of precise control of flow rate and pressure, reliably producing a comfortable injection even in potentially more “difficult” areas like the palate, where the soft tissue is less elastic.

The Wand offers a number of benefits, including:

  • Significantly more comfortable than the syringe
  • Greatly reduces anxiety
  • You can have treatments on both sides of your mouth
  • Go right back to work without a numb face

Intraoral Camera

Our intraoral cameras drastically enhance our quality of care by allowing our dentists to view the hard-to-see areas of the mouth while conducting examinations and consultations. They’re small, pen-shaped devices with cameras on the end of them that allow our team to capture still images and video footage that we can display on a large monitor. This allows us to show you in greater detail exactly where an issue is within your mouth, what it looks like, and how we plan to treat it.
